Merits Of Using A Tank- Less Toilet
Flushing of toilets is something that is often done in a household and this requires a lot of water. This not only compels us to install a bigger water tank, but instead of saving water, we are forced to waste water. The very idea of wasting water puzzles us and we think of alternatives. Tank less toilet is a definite alternative.
The olden time toilets needed water storage tanks for flushing, whereas the tank less toilets do not have any such requirements. These toilets operate on an improved technology and are stylish in their appearance.
Toilets we are using these days require a volume of water for flushing of the toilet bowl whereas the tank less toilets flushes the waste with just 1.6 gallons of water. This technology is thus a land mark research in the conservation of water, also these toilets occupy very less space and are quite small.
In this type of toilets the principle of volume and pressure is applied to get the water from the water tank installed at the house top to the toilet seat to flush away the waste. A valve is fitted in the pipe that brings water to the toilet seat, which opens when its handle is pressed, it automatically closes once the water needed for replacing the waste comes into the bowl and the flushing system is completed.
For a perfect flushing, water should be brought with more force and for this purpose strong electric pumps are used. Thus just by pressing the handle of the valve the flushing process completes in itself.
Since, tank less toilets are electricity driven, this is considered as one of the huge disadvantage of the mechanism. If the electricity goes out, the ability to flush is out as well.
Tank less toilets prevents the need for water to be stored in the tank because it is pulled directly from the plumbing. If the pressure and volume are not adequate due to the size of the pipe used, the tank less toilet will continue flushing until it can obtain enough water to complete the process.
It must therefore be ensured that the diameter of the pipe supplying water to the bowl is 1 inch. This way we can avoid the problem of less pressure. If the pipes have already been fixed and are undersized, these must be replaced.
